The Town is a location in Atomicrops.

General Description[]

After each night is over, the player character is airlifted back to town. Here they are unable to farm or fight enemies, but have the opportunity to purchase supplies and weapons, as well as interact with the Townsfolk. When the player is ready to return to their farm for the next day, they need to interact with the helicopter pilot in the lower square.

Potential Spouses[]

Main article: Spouses

Located on the right-hand side of town are NPCs which players can befriend, flirt with and marry. In exchange for Roses, the player can obtain various Upgrades or Heart Beet seeds.

If given Roses while dating, a short wedding sequence will happen and the player will obtain the character's Wedding Ring.

Shops[]

The following shops are available every time the town is visited.

Bridge Repair Shop[]

Here the player can purchase Bridge Repair Kits for 100Cashew.png each, up to a maximum of three per day.

If the player has Flying.png Duck Wings, they will be unable to purchase Bridge Repair Kits, with the merchant telling them: "You don't need these, you can fly!".

Garden Shop[]

Location: The lower section of the town, in the top left.

Here, the player can buy Seeds, Pickaxes and Farm Animals in exchange for Cashews. If the relevant Home Improvement has been purchased, then Scrolls will sometimes be available.

Weapons Shop[]

ExplorerShopkeeperAnimation.gif

Location: The lower section of the Town, in the top centre.

Here the player can buy and upgrade Weapons. Two different types of weapon are available each day, but only one can be bought. Once one is chosen, the other will vanish. The player will be able to upgrade their purchased weapon a the forge to the right of the shop. If the player's weapon from the previous day has not broken, they will have the choice to buy a new one to replace it, or upgrade the weapon they still have (if not maxed out).

From Year 2 onwards, the price of buying a new gun increases with each season. However, in all of year 1, and every spring, guns are sold at their base price. See the table below for all available data on new weapon prices.

All purchased weapons can be upgraded in Town, with a maximum of five upgrades possible to purchase before the weapon is maxed out.

Each weapon has different upgrades, some of them unique: see the Weapons page for specific upgrade information. It is not possible to choose which upgrade to buy, or even to know which upgrade will be applied before purchasing it. Some weapons have more than five available upgrades, or ones which can be applied more than once.

The type of weapon does not effect the price of upgrading. However, the cost increases with the year and season, as well as with the number of upgrades already applied that particular weapon. Some Home Improvements give weapons a chance to already have an upgrade when purchased: in this case, the cost of upgrading will start at the "second upgrade" price.

Heart Beet Shop[]

MedicalDoctorAnimation.gif

Location: The lower section of the Town, in the top centre.

Here the player can buy Heart Beet seeds, in exchange for RoseIcon.png Roses. Only one can be bought per day, and the price increases with each heart beet seed bought. As roses are a difficult currency to obtain, and can be spent on a variety of useful upgrades and items, this is not the most cost-efficient method of obtaining Heart Beets. However, it may be useful in an emergency if the player is in dire need of health.

Seasonal Festival[]

The three Festival shops are only available on the last day of each Season, when the way to the upper town square is unblocked and marked by arrows on the ground. Here, the player can purchase Tractors in exchange for Cashews, Upgrades and Scrolls in exchange for Roses, and gamble their Cashews at the Casino.

See the Seasonal Festival page for more information.
