Thankful Crops is an Item that adds a chance for Crops to drop seeds and Fertilizer when watered.

Thankful Crops is an Item that can be found within common locations, including choice enemy Camps, given by Spouses, and rarely as a reward from Seasonal Festivals. Upon being picked up, all future Crops will have a chance to drop a seed of their specific variety as well as Fertilizer when watered. For example, Cabbage will drop have a chance to drop a Cabbage Seed and some Fertilizer when watered. This seed drop chance does not apply to Heart Beets, Roses, or Fruit Trees; they will remain completely unaffected by Thankful Crops in that regard.

Compared to most other Items, Thankful Crops is one of the few that allows for the player to gain more seeds from already planted Crops. In this regard, the main rival is Fertilseed Pro, which sometimes awards seeds when Crops are harvested. However, unlike Fertilseed Pro, Thankful Crops can also award Fertilizer. Depending on the circumstance, Thankful Crops may be stronger for collected more of both resources. Furthermore, for Crops that require more water the player may have a better chance to get more resources overall. Despite this, Fertilseed Pro may be better for collecting seeds due to its high chance to activate and the chance not being split between two resources. As such, when given the choice between the two players need to think carefully based upon their current build and what Crops they are going for before deciding.
