Items

I think the upgrades that appear in your inventory should be listed as items, including the character specific ones (starting items).

The powerups that don't appear in your inventory should be in a separate section. IzxleGG (talk) 20:44, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Also include the new dandelion items (specific to Dandelion) IzxleGG (talk) 20:45, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

Edits Needed To Item Clarifications Descriptions

  • Thankful Crops: Needs specific rate of seed and fertilizer drops from watering.
  • Fat Grub: Needs specific rate of seed and fertilizer drops from tilling.
  • Chicken Caliochory: Any seeds that are cannot be dropped need to be mentioned, if any.
  • Fertile Eggs: Needs specific hatching rate and cap of chickens/turkeys, if there is one.
  • Thorn: Needs specific range of fertilizer drops.
  • Microchip: Needs a specific rate of how much faster drones and turrets fire.
  • Laser Tracker: Needs to mention how much damage is increased specifically.
  • Butcher bayonet and Squirrel Pocket: Needs to mention the specific chance for their given projectiles to be fired.
  • Helpful Worm: Needs to mention a cap on worm segments, if any.
  • Razor Weeds: Needs to mention how much damage.
  • Root Soldiers: Needs to mention how long they last before disappearing and how much damage they deal.
  • Horse: Needs to mention how much faster player movement speed is increased by and how long it takes in order for the horse to appear.
  • Psychoactive Weeds: Needs to mention how much time each pickup adds to the duration and how much bullet speed is decreased by while active.
  • Rake: Needs to be specific in how much pickup radius is increased by.
  • Sprinkler Head: Needs to mention how large the watering radius is.
  • Water Witching: Needs to mention how large the area is.
  • Sweatband: Obvious.
  • Chrono Seeds and Chrono Weeds: Needs to mention the exact amount of time.
  • Hotwire: Should probably mention that it can still deal damage despite being in i-frames.
  • Fraidy Fert: Needs to mention the range of fertilizer that can be given.
  • Lard: Needs to be specific in how much enemy bullet speed is reduced.
  • Daylight Savings: Needs to be specific in how much the day is increased by.
  • Scary Mask: Needs to mention by how much damage is increased by.
  • Roach Killer: Needs to be specific in how large the radius is. Appears to be slightly smaller than the Rake radius.
  • Squirt Gun: Needs to be specific by how much faster the player can water crops. Also needs to mention if this affects cows or not, which I would imagine it does.
  • Hose: Needs to be specific by how many more crops can be watered.
  • Whiskey Shot, Fertilizer Fuel Converter, and Double Cream: All need to be specific by how much tractor cooldown is increased by.
  • Dandelion Puff: Needs to mention that one is always dropped by a Tree Guardian flower.
  • Waterchris' Ring: Needs to be specific in how many mega Aloe yield Heart Beet Seeds.
  • All Stats Up: Same issue with it's counterparts.
  • Bouquet of Roses: Needs to be specific in the number of roses/rose seeds given.
  • Chill Beets: Needs to be specific in how much time is added per Heart Beet harvested.

I know this is a lot of work and will require lots of testing, and probably some code-scrolling, but once this is done it will provide significantly more help to the readers.

Testing

Did some testing.

Horse: Activates after 3 seconds without firing a gun, performing a farming action, or taking damage. Increases movement speed by 66.67% until any of those actions are performed.

Explosive butterflies: Deal 120 damage on contact. Explosive radius is difficult to test for, would probably need a careful build and a high year number for enemies to clump up properly to test.

Razor Weeds: Same as butterflies, does 120 damage, but area of effect is difficult to quantify exactly.

Butcher's Bayonet and Squirrel Pocket: These do not trigger as a chance per shot, and rather are on a proc-per-minute system, it seems; if you hold down the fire button with an empty clip using a weapon that needs to reload, the reload will pause until you let up the fire button, but you can still randomly fire cleavers and squirrels with these items during this dry-fire state. As such, it's difficult to test exactly how the proc works and the likelihood of it occurring, or if it depends on the weapon in question.

Microchip: The testing I did for this one was really messy. Basic testing showed that turrets normally fire twice per second. I recorded footage of turrets with Microchip firing at the Bundertaker, since they keep firing while he's invincible and therefore have no pauses in their firing rates and would give me more data to work with. Unfortunately, there were lag frames in my footage that skewed my results: recorded at 30 fps, I counted 46 shots in the span of 535 frames, which, when compared to the 15 frames per shot of un-upgraded turrets, would return an increase of 28.97% rate of fire. I will tentatively say that it's probable the item increases turret firing speed by 30%, but I'm not confident enough in the data I collected to claim it for certain.

Will do more testing later, going to edit the page to include the new data I've found here. Milimici (talk) 22:01, 28 January 2021 (UTC)Milimici

All Stats Up

As of the Doom and Bloom Update there are now two separate All Stats Up in the pool, one in the Golden Pupa loot and one in the normal pool. Please keep this in mind when citing information regarding this item.

Updated List of Items That Need More Data

The following is a list of items that need need more exact data, first by important ones and then less important ones:

Important Ones

  • All growth boost items: Need data on the specific rates by which crops will grow faster.
  • Microchip: Needs data on the specific rate of how much faster drones and turrets fire.
  • Laser Tracker: Needs data on how much damage is increased specifically.
  • Root Soldiers: Needs data on range, fire-rate, and damage.
  • Sprinkler Head: Needs to mention how large the watering radius is.
  • Sweatband: Needs data on how much faster the player will move. I imagine this is identical to Track Pants at +25%.
  • Fraidy Fert: Needs to mention the range of fertilizer that can be given.
  • Whiskey Shot, Fertilizer Fuel Converter, and Double Cream: All need to be specific by how much tractor cooldown is altered by.
  • Zealot: Needs data on the chance for its effect to trigger.
  • Ginseng: Needs data on the rate of how much longer the player will stay energized for.
  • Companion Planting: Needs data on how much fertilizer you get.
  • Tiny Thundercloud: Needs more data in general, since I myself don't know much about this item due to almost never finding it.

Less Important Ones

  • All butterfly items: Need range and explosion radius data.
  • Farming Stat Up: Needs specifics in terms by how much each individual attribute is incremented.
  • Fighting Stat Up: Needs specifics in terms by how much each individual attribute is incremented.
  • Stats Up: Same issue with it's counterparts.
  • Bubble Shield: Needs specifics in terms of how much each pickup increases the duration by.
  • Thankful Crops: Needs specific rate of seed and fertilizer drops from watering.
  • Fat Grub: Needs specific rate of seed and fertilizer drops from tilling.
  • Fertile Eggs: Needs data on hatching rate.
  • Helpful Worm: Needs data on a cap on worm segments, if any.
  • Psychoactive Weeds: Needs data on how much time each pickup adds to the duration and how much bullet speed is decreased by while active.
  • Water Witching: Needs data on how large the area is.
  • Chrono Seeds and Chrono Weeds: Needs data on the exact amount of time.
  • Lard: Needs to be specific in how much enemy bullet speed is reduced.
  • Squirt Gun: Needs to be specific by how much faster the player can water crops. Also needs to mention if this affects cows or not, which I would imagine it does.
  • Plastic Buckets: Similar to Squirt Gun.
  • Pig Wings: Needs data on how much faster pigs more.

In regards to what to prioritize efforts on, definitely focus on the more important ones. While it'd be great to have data for the less important ones, it's not as necessary.
