Butcher Bayonet is an Item that causes the player to occasionally fire a butcher's knife.

Butcher Bayonet is an Item that can be found within common locations, including choice enemy Camps, given by Spouses, and rarely as a reward from Seasonal Festivals. After picking it up, the player will fire a knife, similar to what Butcher's Knife fires. This has a cooldown of 3 seconds. The damage of the knife scales with the player's Fighting Stat. The knife has a chance to critical hit, doing double damage a dropping some Fertilizer. If the player is using the Butcher's Knife and has Butcher Bayonet, the knife fired from Butcher Bayonet will not inherit the upgrades that the Butcher's Knife currently has. The Butcher Bayonet can still fire even if the player's current Weapon has no ammo.

Butcher's Bayonet is one of the few items that can increase the player's DPS. The utility that the Fertilizer drops provide along with the extra damage makes Butcher Bayonet a helpful addition to any run. The projectile can be hard to hit, though, as the knife has an awkward trajectory.
